A limited art edition by artist Mirko Baselgia in collaboration with Ticino-based textile designer Matteo Gehringer.
To mark World Environment Day, Swiss Post, in cooperation with Edition VFO, presents the exclusive art edition
inter-respirar. Created in collaboration with Swiss artist Mirko Baselgia and Ticino textile designer Matteo Gehringer – one of the last active traditional blue-printing specialists in Switzerland, who practices this craft in the fourth generation.
Printed on approximately 200-year-old linen and produced using the traditional blue printing technique, the work combines artistic symbolism with masterful craftsmanship. The central motif – a stylized bronchial tree – refers to the special stamp re-respirar, which Baselgia created in 2024 as part of Swiss Post’s art initiative. It symbolizes the close connection between humans and nature, breathing and plant life.
Each piece measures 29.7 × 18.7 cm, is hand-signed on the back by Mirko Baselgia, and embroidered with his artist initials on the front. Delivery is unframed.
