The Paperblanks Notebook Equinoxe Azur Blue reproduces the cover of L’office de la Semaine Sainte from the year 1688, which was decorated in the "fanfare style" with a handcrafted pattern with a gold border. The "à la fanfare" style was especially popular in the 17th century, required a high level of skill from the bookbinder, and was used only for extremely important books.
