Special cover «The most beautiful Swiss stamp 2024»

The woolly mammoth has captured the hearts of Internet users. The design featuring this animal, part of the “Giants of the Ice Age” series, was voted the most beautiful stamp of 2024. This stamp invites you to travel back in time and discover the prehistoric animal kingdom. The presence of the mammoth in Switzerland has been documented at many sites and dates back around 115,000 years. Second place in our competition went to the “Swiss tourist attractions – Landwasser Viaduct” stamp, while the lovely “Ladybird” from the “Animal symbolism” series came in third. More than 13,000 people took part in the online vote, which ran from 26 September to 8 December 2024 at swisspost.ch/world-of-stamps.
